Recently, Lloyd’s Register of Shipping (LR) conducted a re-certification audit on Nanshan Aluminum’s classification society accreditation certificate. Since Nanshan Aluminum first obtained the Lloyd’s Register of Shipping Accreditation Certificate in 2019, all marine products produced by Nanshan Aluminum have successfully passed the ship inspection and approval. Therefore, this audit focuses on inspection of the company’s order information transmission, production process solidification, production facilities availability, testing equipment control, and personnel stability management and other aspects to ensure that the company has the ability to continuously and stably produce and deliver marine products in accordance with the requirements of classification societies.
Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, the earliest established classification society in the world, is an internationally recognized authoritative certification body in the shipping industry. It is mainly engaged in the formulation and publication of relevant ship standards, conducting ship inspections, verifying ship performance, and publishing shipbuilding rules etc. The purpose is to verify that they meet the technical specifications and standards of classification societies through technical inspection of marine products, and to ensure the safety performance of their products.
Approval by classification societies is a prerequisite for producing and operating marine products. Nanshan Aluminum has now passed the quality approval and certificate of DNV classification society of Norway and BV classification society of France. For a long time, Nanshan Aluminum has strictly implemented the certification standards of various classification societies, strengthened the process and quality control, and all orders for marine products have been successfully verified by classification societies to obtain the ship inspection certificate and delivered on time.
The re-certification audit by Lloyd’s Register of Shipping this time ensures that Nanshan Aluminum will continue to maintain the validity of the LR accreditation certificate, which is conducive to continuously improving customer satisfaction, consolidating cooperation with shipping companies, and further expanding sales markets to achieve higher economics benefit with great significance.
